Start the new year grounded, held, and in community. Join us in an Oakland warehouse for an afternoon to slow down, breathe, and begin again together.
We’ll open in circle, then begin with grounding prāṇāyāma to settle the body and mind, moving into a guided meditation woven with crystal singing bowls. From there, we’ll take time to journal and reflect on the year ahead, with optional small-group sharing for anyone who wants to connect. Then we’ll move: gentle movement that builds into free, joyful dance, followed by restorative yoga to bring the body all the way back down.
The afternoon closes with an extended live orchestral sound bath, featuring crystal singing bowls, gong, Tibetan and Nepalese bowls, chimes, ocean drum, rainstick, and other resonant instruments. This immersive soundscape is designed to reset the nervous system and guide the body into deep rest and repair.
This is an afternoon to come home to your body, brain, and soul, and to make space for joy, play, and connection as the year begins. Come solo or bring your people. Either way, you’ll leave feeling part of something.
Benefits may include improved sleep, nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and a greater sense of calm and clarity.
What to bring: a yoga mat, a blanket, a pillow, a journal and pen, water, and warm layers and socks, since body temperature often drops during the sound bath.
Arrival: doors open at 11:50am. Please arrive by 12:15 to park and settle in; our circle opens at 12:30. Rideshare is encouraged, and street parking is available nearby.
